Is Dean really Pam Ewing?

Am I really starting to confuse these two people?

Let me explain....

SPOILERS!!SPOILERS!!SPOILERS!!SPOILERS!!SPOILERS!!SPOILERS!! for Season 7

Okay, so in the soap "Dallas", one of the big plot points towards the end (as I recall it) was that Bobby Ewing was killed and lo and behold ratings just slumped.

So in order to get things back on track it was decided that Bobby had to come back. Cue his widow Pam waking up from a nice deep sleep and finding him in the shower. Bam! A whole season erased! It never happened it was all a dream!

So why do I think this is happening in Supernatural?

Well, let's see...

7.01 Meet The New Boss – Cas is effectively killing people while “sleepwalking”.

7.02 Hello, Cruel World – This is all about Sam having trouble distinguishing hallucinations from reality

7.03 The Girl Next Door – Sam’s first kiss just happens to have the same name as a current Doctor Who character, Amy Pond. Dreams often reuse facts in weird ways.

7.04 Defending Your Life – the god of the afterlife, Sam getting the horn... There was me hoping for a stargate...

7.05 Shut Up, Dr. Phil – the end of this descended into farce and seemed like a bad dream. Or may be that was just me. And the witches just wandered off as if they were forgotten about...

7.06 Slash Fiction - Double trouble? - we can but dream!! I imagine this was probably the inspiration for a lot of "M" rated fanfic.

7.07 The Mentalists - a whole town of psychics? - It was certainly surreal!

7.08 Season Seven, Time for a Wedding! - this was definitely a nightmare for poor Sam! And certainly upset a lot of fans into thinking they must be dreaming Becky's behaviour.

7.09 How to Win Friends And Influence Monsters - I still can't get over the fact that turducken really exists...

7.10 Death's Door – this whole episode was a hallucination!

7.11 Adventures In Babysitting - so much weird stuff was happening with missing time and people dressed like Cas, that it just had to be a dream...

7.12 Time After Time - Dean just happens to meet a hero in the past who just happens to be a hunter too. Wish fulfilment.

7.13 The Slice Girls - That was one fast pregnancy. (Tangental rant: No Cas handprint? Un-freakin'-forgiveable)

7.14 Plucky Pennywhistle's Magical Menagerie - this was all about the nightmares!

7.15 Repo Man - the hallucinations, the forked tongue.... eewww!!

7.16 Out With The Old - Hands up who thought they were gonna see Dean in a tutu?

7.17 The Born-Again Identity - Wife? Wife? Wife? "Here swap my now sane brother for this now insane stranger... shame to waste the bed!"

7.18 Party on Garth - Cas is described as "sleeping". And that whole sock-puppet thing was just plain WTF? FREAKY!!!

So I reckon Dean's just going to wake up one morning and it'll be back somewhere mid-season 5.

I wonder what he'll see?
