It's driving me potty - my email inbox is full of unintentional alerts and follows and it's bloody stupid.

I know, the worst thing is that I can't quite bring myself to untick the boxes either - it seems a bit rude in a weird sort of way.

The worst thing is that in the past I've got quite irritable about people "alerting" (without otherwise reviewing) stories that it's quite clear are one-shots. "RITE MOAR FANFIC NOW!!111!!"

But I do feel I should be occasionally allowed the odd miserable old-man moment, as I soon get over it!

ha ha I'm wallowing in Grumpy Old Woman over this - I have already ticked author alerts on the folk I want to follow, I don't want alerts for everyone and his bleeding dog thanks very much! And I don't want everyone who leaves a review to have alerts set for me unless they actually want them because then it's just meaningless.
